How do you get more out of your customers?

How do you get them to stick around and buy from you over and over again?

You need to speak out publicly and often and ask for feedback.

When you speak publicly to present customers or potential customers you are forming a relationship with them. It may be quite a few times before they even recognize who you are and what you are selling, but if you speak often enough your customers will start to recognize you as an authority in your industry.

Sooner or later they are going to search more about you and discover that they may need what you are offering. That is where social media is great to get recognized and get your message to many people, but blogging is better to have people learn more about you and get to know you more personally.

Every business should have a blog and post everyday. It develops a relationship and gives you the opportunity to tell the world about your products and services as well as ask for feedback and establish exactly what it is your customers want.

The more you post and correspond publicly with your target audience the more trust and credibility you will build so when it comes time to use your products or services, your customers are dealing with a trusted friend or company that they feel they have an attachment to and a relationship with.

This breaks a lot of the barriers and fears that customers have when making a buying decision and goes straight for the sale.

Then list them as the top 7 “Most Helpful”  blogs you read every day.  Make sure you change the adjectives describing the list of blogs according to your audience and make it something that will catch people’s attention.

Then write a short paragraph about each and how it is helpful. Just a couple of sentences will do. You can even take the description from the internet search engines and write that out.

Then post it to your blog. But, you are not done there. Most people stop at this step and don’t get the traffic they want. Don’t wait for Google to search your site and get you traffic. Post your new blog post to all the social media and news websites like Twitter, Digg, Reddit, Facebook, StumbleUpon etc… This is where the people hang out and read their news. They are not hanging out at the search engines and looking for news, they are all on social media, and so if you write a blog post and leave it there, you are missing 90% of the traffic you could be bringing to your blog. That is hundreds more eyeballs that could be reading your content and regarding you as an authority in your niche.

You will then see many people leaving your website for these authority blogs, which in turn ranks your blog higher in the search engines and gets you more traffic.

Give it a go, search out some of the most popular blogs in your niche and send people to them. You will be amazed at some of the traffic that comes back and you might learn a thing or two from these sites also to give you ideas for a few new blog posts.
